THE NAME GAME
– Three misfits form a hilarious romantic triangle. Rose,
a vulnerable girl who is full of life and love, is walking home
late one night when she is robbed and abducted by an armed man
wearing pantyhose of over his head. Her shy abductor, Lincoln,
is an incurable romantic who only wants to win Rose’s heart.
His impulsive method of courting is especially unfortunate because
Rose is already engaged to Stuart, a rigidly law-loving Beverly
Hills police officer. Their humorous relationship and Rose’s
unmet emotional needs are amusingly reveled when she tells Stuart
about the exciting hold up. Delighted by Lincoln’s offbeat
wisdom, Rose falls in love with him but finds she is pregnant
with Stuart’s child (the handcuffs are to blame). Lincoln
wants to marry Rose just the same, but she insists they seek permission
from her guardian – Stuart, who responds with a punch that
knocks out Lincoln. At that moment Rose realizes that it is her
permission that matters.

REBOUND AND THE BATHTUB
is a modern day romantic comedy about a woman who is stuck in
a three-year, dysfunctional relationship. After failing to initiate
more substantial advise, she turns to her wackiest of girlfriends
who convinces her that the only way to end her physical addition
to this man, is to interview her male acquaintances and choose
one to become her temporary sex partner. Her new friend, Lee,
is uncomfortable with her decision and interesting situations
mount. This play is sweet and tender and concludes with the discovery
that Sarah, the lead female character, needs to be in love with
a "friend".
WAITING delves
into the lives of twelve characters who share personal stories
about their relationships and whether or not they waited to have
sex until they were married. The NoHo LA magazine wrote, “Even
when the characters aren’t talking about their first times
together, they are still waiting. Waiting for people to surprise
them, waiting for a tragedy to unfold, waiting for life to begin
– or end, waiting to pee.”
